F.U.E.C.H. – Managing Board Meeting and General Assembly 2018 in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium
From 5th to 7th October 2018 the F.U.E.C.H.-Managing Board as well as the Delegates of the Member-Associations met in Brussels.
On Friday 5th of October the Delegates and Board Members attended the exhibition "New Horizons beyond Klimt"at the BOZA-Fine Arts Center, meeting the Austrian Ambassador to Belgium H.E. Dr. Elisabeth Kornfeind.
On Saturday 6th of October the Managing Board Meeting as well as the General Assembly of F.U.E.C.H. where held at the Egmont Palace in Brussels, followed by a Honorary Consuls Gala Dinner, celebrating also 25 years of Belgium Consular Corps.
The President thanked the Board-Members and Delegates for their valuable initiatives to support the Honorary Consuls in the member-associations resp. to strengthen the status of Honorary Consuls on european level and mentioned again the excellent cooperation with the European Institutions in Brussels via F.U.E.C.H.-Vice-President HC Baron J.-J. Haus.
F.U.E.C.H. as accredited organisation of Honorary Consuls Associations in Europe to the European Commission will continue its successful path working on behalf of its member-organisations as well as to meet the wishes of newly established national consular-associations for membership with F.U.E.C.H. resp. to contribute to realisation of the goals of F.U.E.C.H..
On the occasion of the Consuls Gala Dinner at Palais Egmont President HCG Cav. Dr. Wolfgang Breitenthaler welcomed the numerous Delegates from all over Europe as well as announced the Conference of Honorary Consuls accredited in European States from 23.5. – 26.5.2019 in Maastricht, organised by the Netherlands Consular Corps and F.U.E.C.H., coordinated by President HC Dr. Rainier Russel and Secretary General HC Karin Van Royen.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium H.E. Didier J.L. Reynders welcomed in his speech the excellent work of Honorary Consuls within Belgium and Europe.
